What features should I look for when purchasing a spa?

What are the benefits of a swim spa?
Swim spas offer a versatile combination of exercise, hydrotherapy, and relaxation. Built-in heating systems allow for year-round use, making them a great choice for family fun, achieving fitness goals, or simply unwinding with friends—whatever the season!
Can I add magnesium for additional hydrotherapy benefits?
Not all magnesium products are spa-friendly. Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate), while popular in baths, can damage spa equipment due to their high salt content. Instead, opt for magnesium chloride blends specifically designed for spas.

Can I install my spa myself? What's involved?
We strongly recommend having your spa or swim spa installed by qualified professionals to ensure a smooth, safe, and compliant setup. Installation may involve the use of a crane or forklift to position the spa correctly, especially in tight or elevated backyard spaces. Before delivery, make sure your site is level, structurally sound, and has adequate drainage to prevent water pooling or damage. All electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician, in accordance with Australian standards.
Do I need a permit or approvals before installing a spa or swim spa?
It’s essential to check with your local council for any required permits or approvals before installation. Regulations vary by state and territory.

Do you offer warranties on all spas and parts?
Yes, all our spas and components come with manufacturer-backed warranties covering defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage periods vary by part. All spas and swim spas come with a 10 year structural warranty. Spa and swim spa shells are covered for up to 5 years, while pumps, heaters, and control systems have a 2 year warranty. Where are your pumps and heaters made?
All Icon Spas and Swim Spas are equipped with American-made heaters, blowers and control panels.
