Warranty
Our spas are designed to last a lifetime. Each spa is individually built and undergoes several quality checks before reaching you. If your spa has a defect, consult your store of purchase. Simple steps may restore your spa to working order, and we can provide instructions by telephone. If a defect in materials or workmanship is covered by this warranty, we will send a replacement part to you. While we strive to keep spare parts in stock, some may need to be ordered from our manufacturer. All warranties are subject to terms and conditions.
Warranty Coverage
1. Stainless Steel Frame:
- Duration: 10 years
- Coverage: Structural compromise due to defects in materials and workmanship
- Exclusions: Damage resulting from improper installation
2. Acrylic Shell:
- Duration: 5 years
- Coverage: Leaking water to the inside of the spa cabinet due to defects in materials or workmanship.
- Exclusions: Chemical staining, fading, chaffing, scratches, blisters, and holes are not covered.
3. Jet Faces:
- Duration: 2 years
- Coverage: Defects in materials and workmanship.
- Process: Jets must be returned to the local Spa Marketplace dealer for inspection. Replacement is limited to parts only.
4. Pump Motors:
- Duration: 2 years
- Coverage: Defects in materials or workmanship.
- Exclusions: Pump blockages, impellers, capacitors, and mechanical seals are not covered. Mechanical seal leaks caused by incorrect water maintenance are excluded unless monthly water chemistry history is provided.
5. Heater:
- Duration: 2 years
- Coverage: Defects in materials or workmanship.
- Exclusions: Issues caused by incorrect water maintenance are not covered unless monthly water chemistry history is provided.
6. Control Box & Digital Touch Pad:
- Duration: 2 years
- Coverage: Defects in materials or workmanship.
7. Plumbing & Water Leaks:
- Duration: 2 years
- Coverage: Defects in materials or workmanship.
- Exclusions: Leaks from loose pump barrel unions, heater barrel unions, or ozone mazzei injectors are not covered. Water leaks caused by the spa being left without water are also excluded.
8. Other Items:
- Duration: 2 years
- Coverage: Air blower, ozone unit are covered against defects in material or workmanship.
Conditions and Exclusions
Warranty Void If:
- Spa is not installed on a hard, level surface.
- Incorrect water management or chemical use.
- Spa is misused, neglected, or altered without authorization.
- Electrical issues due to non-licensed contractors or improper setup.
- Spa is used for commercial purposes.
- Spa is heated above 40 degrees Celsius.
- Spa is drained or partially drained in daylight hours.
- Electrical wiring is not connected by a licensed electrical contractor.
- Required Residual Current Device is not connected.
- Power extension leads are used.
- Electrical blowout voltage spikes or operation at 10 volts above or below 240 volts.
- Spa is moved by non-qualified spa removalists.
Additional Notes
- Non-Transferable: The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
- Prorated Claims: After one year, claims are treated on a prorated basis.
- Freight Charges: Customer is responsible for freight charges for parts under warranty.
- Repair or Replacement: Spa Marketplace reserves the right to repair or replace defective parts at their discretion.
- Access for Repairs: Full access to the spa is required for warranty service. If off-site repair is needed, all associated costs are the customer’s responsibility.
- Limitations: Spa Marketplace is not liable for incidental or consequential losses or injuries. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the product.
Detailed Warranty Terms
- Fibreglass Spa Shell: The fibreglass spa shell is warranted against water loss due to defects in materials or workmanship for ten years from the original date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the supply of parts only and excludes labour costs.
- Acrylic Spa Shell: The acrylic spa shell surface is warranted against leaking water to the inside of the spa cabinet due to defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the original date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the supply of parts only and excludes labor costs. Chemical staining, fading, chaffing, scratches, blisters, and holes in or on the spa’s acrylic shell are not covered under this warranty.
- Jet Faces: The jet faces are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five years. Jets must be returned to your local Spa Marketplace dealer for inspection. Replacement is limited to the supply of parts only.
- Pump Motors: The pump motors are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the original date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the supply of parts only and excludes labour costs. Parts must be returned to your local Spa Marketplace dealer for inspection. Pump blockages, pump impellers, capacitors, and mechanical seals are not covered under this warranty. Mechanical seal leaks are generally caused by incorrect water maintenance, and any pump motor damage from a mechanical seal leak will not be covered under this warranty unless you can provide your monthly water chemistry history from a recognizable professional pool or spa store showing the water has been maintained to the correct levels requested in your chemical instructions.
- Heater: The heater is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the original date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the supply of parts only and excludes labour costs. Parts must be returned to your local Spa Marketplace dealer for inspection. Heaters tripping power are generally caused by incorrect water maintenance and will not be covered under this warranty unless you can provide your monthly water chemistry history from a recognizable professional pool or spa store showing the water has been maintained to the correct levels requested in your chemical instructions.
- Control Box & Digital Touch Pad: The control box and digital touch pad are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the original date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the supply of parts only and excludes labour costs. Parts must be returned to your local Spa Marketplace dealer for inspection.
- Plumbing & Water Leaks: The plumbing and water leaking inside the spa cabinet are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the original
date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the supply of parts only and excludes
labour costs. Water leaking from a loose pump barrel union, heater barrel union, or ozone injector is not covered under this warranty. Water leaks caused by the spa being left without water causing the jets and fittings to distort are not covered under this warranty. - Other Items: Air blower, ozone unit, cabinets, and support frame are warranted against defects in material or workmanship for one year from the original date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the supply of parts only and excludes labour costs. Parts must be returned to l Spa Marketplace for inspection.
Conditions and Exclusions
This warranty will be made void if any of the following occurs:
- Free items are excluded from this warranty.
- Damages caused in delivery or collection to the spa.
- Failure to install the spa on a hard, level surface.
- Subsidence in the ground around the spa.
- Incorrect water management.
- Improper chemical use or the use of any of these chemicals: Bromine, liquid chlorine, hydrochloric acid, trichloro chlorine, dichlor chlorine, stabilized chlorine, cyanuric acid, magnesium, hydrogen peroxide, or polyhexamethylene biguanide.
- Foreign materials or the build-up of solids in the water, plumbing, and/or pumps.
- The filters or plumbing are dirty or blocked.
- The spa is heated above 40 degrees Celsius.
- The spa has been drained or partially drained of water in daylight hours.
- The electrical wiring is connected by a non-licensed electrical contractor.
- Failure to provide an electrical circuit for the spa to Australian Standards AS3000.
- Failure to connect the legally required Residual Current Device for the power supply.
- The use of any power extension leads.
- Electrical blowout voltage spikes or operation of the spa at 10 volts above or below 240 volts.
- The spa is misused, neglected, or abused.
- If there is any unauthorized maintenance, alterations, modifications, or repairs.
- Failure to follow the requirements and specifications of the manufacturer.
- The spa is moved by non-qualified spa removalists.
- The spa is used for commercial purposes.
- Failure to provide monthly water chemical test history results from a recognizable professional pool or spa store.
Coverage of the Warranty
Spa Marketplace offers this warranty to all new Spa Marketplace spas purchased from an authorized dealer throughout Australia. This warranty cannot be transferred or assigned and is only valid to the spa while it is owned by the original purchaser. After one year from the original date of purchase, any claims relating to this warranty will be treated on a prorated basis over the period covered by the relevant warranty section. There will be a charge for travel and transportation costs in the event of a warranty. If the spa requires onsite repairs, the purchaser must provide full access to the spa for warranty service. The spa must have 700mm of clear uninterrupted space on all sides of the spa for a service technician to have space to make repairs.
